Be a Tourist … at Home
Why is it that when we visit another country we are in awe of all we see but we find no time to look at our country? Of course this happens the world over and Malta is no exception.
Soon our kids will finish their exams and kick off with their summer holidays. Let’s try to be tourists in our own country this summer. This could be a great way of spending quality time with our family, especially the kids.
Of course when things get too hot we could go for a swim.
Check out the top things to do at Pretty Wild World . Some of the details on Malta are not 100% correct but there is an authenticity worth discovering. FYI – the first photo of Valletta is actually Mdina! We chose the photo below as a good replacement. Also it is worth noting that Valletta is the European Capital of Culture for 2018.
The section on Gozo shows the much-missed azzure window which was destroyed by a storm on the 8th of March 2017. For nostaligia’s sake we still think the photo is a keeper. As for the Island of Gozo – it is definitely worth a good visit especially if you may be considering an under-water adventure.
And finally don’t forget the village festas. This weekend you can check out the beautiful village of Siggiewi and their much celebrated festa of San Nikola (St. Nicolas).
